Please find below key dates for our Diwali prayers and celebrations this year.
Thursday 31st October 2024 at 7.30pm – Chopda Pujan
We will be holding Chopda Pujan in our usual fashion at the mandir. Please ensure you bring all your puja items from home, and arrive by 7pm for seating, briefing, and a prompt start. Please do not arrive late or you will miss the start of the puja. A list of items required for puja is shown at the bottom of this page.
Friday 1st November 2024 – Normal temple opening times
There are no specific celebrations on Friday and the temple will be open at the normal times for morning and evening prayers. We would normally expect this to be our New Year’s Day but there is a gap in the lunar calendar which is adding this extra day in between Chopda Pujan and Ankut this year.
Saturday 2nd November 2024 – Ankut
The mandir will be open from 7am for Ankut darshan. Ankut Aarti will be at midday, and the mandir will close around 1pm. If you’re arriving early, please have due consideration for local residents and keep noise to a minimum.
We wish all our devotees all the very best for Diwali, and for the forthcoming New Year.
